The future is looking bright for one of the world’s most popular denim companies. Citizen of Humanity’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection is a mix of classic, trendy and one-of-a-kind items you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. The theme of their collection switches between the “nautical flair” of the French Riviera, a modern twist on vintage American wear and the harder “sophisticated punk” trend. While these inspirations differ vastly, the collection still proves to be cohesive and offer a little something for everyone.

We loved their simple and easy denim shorts with cuffed bottoms as much as we did the distressed ripped jeans in a wonderful light yellow-y wash. COH planned for the spring/summer 2010 overall trend (which we saw all over the runways) and are keeping boyfriend jeans still very “in.” The three most interesting sub-collections within the whole showed us gilded studs, gave us super stretch and offered us art in the form of one-of-a-kind hand-painted tees.

The denim belonging to the Graceland collection is adorned with gold studs in the shape of eagles and crosses. Here we can see embellished denim vests (intentionally frayed at the arm holes) and tiny mini skirts, all very trendy punk.

Celeb fashionista, Rachel Bilson, has already been spotted in 818 Super Stretch jeans (shown above), a fabric created exclusively for COH. It has proved to be their best-selling jean and is offered in two styles: the Avedon “Slick” Skinny Leg (Rachel’s jean of choice) and the Stirrup Skinny Leg. Currently, these styles are available in darker washes (for $163), but for spring customers will be able to purchase these same jeans in lighter hues, including bright yellows, reds and blues. Trust us, you don’t have to have Rachel’s body for these figure-flattering jeans to look good on you too.

Finally, Will Lemon, an artist famous for his designer body painting skills, has switched his canvas from the human form to cotton tees. He has been screen printing for over a decade and is now creating a series of casual t-shirts based on the cycle of nature. All of these pieces are limited editions and will be released at two different times to retail locations. Three designs will be available with each set starting in March 2010.
