Foxy Angel Wearing Wildfox Couture

One of the most gorgeous angels among the Victoria’s Secret model line up, Alessandra Ambrosio, was seen wearing, fittingly enough, Wildfox Couture. The model beat the New York heat with the line’s casual-yet-clean-looking “Love Child” Pocahontas maxi dress. Of course, being a five-foot-ten bikini model, Alessandra would look good in a paper sack, but this dress’ design shows promise that it would look just as flattering on us mortal beings as well. The empire waist is perfect for concealing a less-than-flawless midsection and the thicker straps even make it easy to wear a bra!
Wildfox Couture labels themselves as “American vintage-inspired women’s knitwear brand.” Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon, the creative team for Wildfox (who also happen to be childhood friends), made sure to let their Native American and vintage rock & roll inspirations shine through in their comfortable cool pieces– think adorable tees and tanks that already have that lived-in look. Their celebrity following, including Fergie, Miley Cyrus and most of The Hills starlets, show us these pieces can be worn as easily during the day with a pair of cutoffs as they can at night with sexy black jeans and heels. 
Most of their pieces can be found at select department stores across the country such as Bloomie’s and Nordstrom and also at L.A. shopping hot spots like Fred Segal, Planet Blue and Kitson. Their prices are completely reasonable and fall anywhere from $55-$128. Personally, I loved the “You’ll Love It” Tank (no pun intended). It reminded me of the many college t-shirts I tried to turn into tanks over the years—only without the fraying and misshaped cut-outs.
FYI: Come Fall, make sure to be on the look out for Wildfox’s kid’s line labeled “Little Fox.” These collections will carry the same vintage-style tees and tanks only smaller. Kids will be sure to fall in love with their softer-than-soft fabrics. No doubt we will see a few Hollywood tots parading around in Little Fox styles. As they say, like celebrity mother, like celebrity daughter (or son).
