GAP Inc. launched their first premiere concept store in Soho last Thursday, celebrating with celebs and famous fashionistas alike. GAP Inc. has collaborated with Nylon magazine to showcase this unique event dedicated to denim. The company has transformed, what was once the old Banana Republic Men’s Store, into the ultimate jean shopping experience. To sum it all up: GAP has reinvented their denim line. The use of heavy weight fabrics, distressed washes and accents of stud hardware, in addition to the new cut of the jeans (made slimmer and more fitted), have kept GAP keeping up with more modern looks.

Performances of the night included DJ Cassidy supplying house beats and ending the night with the band TV/TV. Guests were treated with delicious mini brownies and chocolate chip cookies, while maneuvering through the crowd to access the two stationary bars serving up beer and wine. While trying to balance their drinks and food, guests were also encouraged to participate with a bit of shopping. 30% of GAP sales from the night benefited Feed America.

In attendance were actress Emma Rossum, of the new movie Dragonball Evolution, Becki Newton, of the TV series Ugly Betty, celebrity stylist Robert Verdi, and fashion photographer Kirt Reynolds of Trik Photography.
Upon leaving the event each guest left with a nice black reusable canvas drawstring pouch that contained the latest issue of Nylon Magazine, various cds of different musicians, a red cable knit Gap Beanie and a bottle of OPI nail polish.
