Gems Go Green With Alberto Parada

Most do not envision precious gemstones and gold when presented with the idea of “green” jewelry. However,  Alberto Parada is changing everything when it comes to the idea of eco-friendly baubles. Launched during the first-ever Seattle Green Fashion Week in 2007, Alberto Parada has taken fashion as well as environmental concerns into the creation of his various pieces, using reclaimed gold and conflict- free/fair-trade gems allowing customers to shop guilt free.

Some of Alberto’s particularly stunning pieces include his 18k yellow gold Cassam ring (pictured above) completed with a large blue topaz. This cocktail ring makes sure not to step over the border between glam and over-the-top, resulting in a piece that can instantly jazz up any outfit all by itself.

For a more modern look, we adore the floating 18k rose gold necklace (pictured above) decorated with white topaz diamonds. The rose gold pendant dangles beautifully down the neck, drawing all eyes to the irresistible large white topaz stone set right at the bottom.  Diamond trim helps this piece to sparkle and shine even more brightly.
