Model Behavior: Ilona from Major

If you’ve seen our Night of the Living Dolls shoot, you’ll know who Ilona Struzik is! She’s an enchanting and timeless beauty from Major Model Management. Ilona’s portfolio has everything from unique beauty to edgy editorial. She knows how to work her angles and gives plenty of emotion! WhatsWear loves her , and if you read our interview below I’m sure you will too:

KW: Since it’s so close to Halloween, what will you be dressing up as?

IS: My boyfriend and I will go as Sid and Nancy.  

KW: Very nice! Getting back to Night of the Living Dolls shoot, how long did the makeup take?

IS: Only a few short hours.  

KW: Once the makeup was done, and you first got a look at it, what did you think?

IS: Honestly, I thought it looked great.  

KW: What went through your mind while Stephen was snapping pics that day?

IS: That I’m having a great time.  

KW: What inspiration did you use to become a doll?

IS: Well, the makeup and hair were really enough to inspire me to get into character that day.    

KW: What’s the craziest or weirdest thing you’ve had to do on a shoot or casting?

IS: An entire shoot underwater for which I was taught how to hold my breath for over a minute.

KW: You’re like Houdini! What fall outfit or accessory can you not live without this season?

IS: Haha. My short rabbit fur coat. It keeps me very warm.  

KW: What made you start modeling?

IS: Curiosity and the money.

KW: What has been your most favorite shoot you’ve done so far and why?

IS: The campaign I did for Rodebjer because I went to Stockholm, Sweden for it. I’ve always wanted to visit Sweden. It was one of my favorites because I went and was working with a photographer I’m good friends with.  

KW: If you weren’t a model, what would you be doing?

IS: Either something in arts and entertainment such as acting or sculpting. Maybe something in the sciences such as astronomy or botany.

KW: Lastly, one of my favorite questions to ask, name me the top three artists in your i-Pod right now…

IS: White Lies, Midnight Juggernauts, and Interpol.
