LADY GAGA GETS AN AWARD
Music and fashion tend to go very well together. Remember George Michael and a bevy of beautiful Thierry Mugler-clad models in his “Too Funky” video and supermodels in his “Freedom” video? When it comes to fashion in music videos, no one does it better than Madonna. She’s collaborated with designers Riccardo Tisci and Jean Paul Gaultier on various world tours.
And now there’s a new lady rocking the fashion world. Enter Lady GaGa.
Music’s newest singing sensation received the Stylemaker Award at the 13th Annual Accessories Council Excellence Awards this week. Designer Marc Jacobs –talk about a fashion designer who knows a thing or two about accessories, trends, innovation and fashion– presented Ms. GaGa with the award. The Lady also knows a thing a two about accessories and product placement. Watch her “Love Game” music video and you’ll see a pair of killer Chanel heels and a cool G-Shock Watch. Is Lady GaGa positioning herself as the next face for a major fashion brand? All she has to do is follow in the fashionable footsteps of Madonna who has represented Versace and is now a regular fixture in the Louis Vuitton ads. I think it is safe to say, the fashion industry is gaga for GaGa.
MAN DIES SHOOTING GAGA
Just moments before Lady GaGa was honored with an ACE Award, she worked the red carpet in another one of her outrageous and elaborate frocks. GaGa’s red carpet moment turned tragic, a celebrity photographer collapsed after snapping pictures of the singer and other stars on the red carpet. A.J. Sokalner later died at a New York City hospital of an apparent heart attack.
A NEW LOOK FOR ‘NEW MOON’ STARS
They are two of the hottest young stars on the planet. And this December get ready for a whole new look for “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The star-crossed lovers (on and off the screen) grace the cover of the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Fashionistas will want to sink their teeth in the gorgeous backless Gucci or vampy Versace gowns Stewart wears. “New Moon”, the sequel to “Twilight” opens November 20.

Have you ever wondered what rapper 50 Cent would smell like? Well this week, he will probably smell a lot like lemon leaves, nutmeg, black pepper, and coriander. Those are just some of the ingredients in 50 Cents new cologne called Power. We know 50 Cent has cheated death before –he survived being shot 9 times– but can he survive the beauty business?

Guess where mega mom ANGELINA JOLIE shops for her six kids? The Gap. Jolie was spotted this week loading up on lots of cool McCartney clothes. Remember, Jolie has six children with beau Brad Pitt. Dad Brad has said that he would like to have enough children to have his own soccer team. If I were you, I would head check out the Stella McCartney for kids line over at The Gap before Brangelina gets it all.
